Rust in fuel tank. ideas on treating tank in prep for e85

Rice? No its Corn (E85)
I have some rust on the inside of the tank and my spare one looks worse. i thought about having it soda blasted and then run it. I will be using e85 on and off with pump gas. i saw one other member used POR15 and it came off inside the tank and kept plugging the filter. so i was just going to run it after soda blasted.

any input on this?

I had a gas tank dipped a few years back. Found a shop locally that dipped radiators for big rigs. Cost 45 bucks and they even painted it when they were done.

You could always get a chain and some muratic acid. Follow the directions for the acid and toss the chain in at the end, it's better if they're loose links as the chain will be shaken inside the tank. I did this and my tank came out looking like new.

Your not far away. Was it in ga?

So a radiator shop dipped it or was it a different type of shop, how did you find it?

Yes, it was in Clarkston, outside of Atlanta. I was referred to them by a mechanic buddy at the time. They were expressly in the business of dipping rads.
