rod knock?

just wanted to get some other opinions about what i hope isnt rod knock.only does it around 2000 to 2500 rpm.ive checked the crank pulley and timing gears have not checked the oil yet.just delaying the inevitable i guess.thanks

Time to pull 'er out it sounds like. Another vote for rod knock from me, but hey, you never know until you completely check it out. I've heard of so many weird loose things that have made noises like that, so do a thorough go over before giving in.

Just remember, if it truly is rod know, there is always this hope...

We can rebuild it, and it will be stronger!

thanks for taking the time to check it out. guess the motor will be coming out soon. sucks it was rebuilt(not by me),from the guy i bought it from about a year ago.
