Went out the dragstrip tonight. I ran a best of 13.27@101.35mph with a 2.04 sixty. I'll take a pic of the timeslips and post a couple of vids as soon as I can. All runs were made at 10psi of boost. I need MOAR boost.

Mod list:

Rebuilt stock shortblock.
HKS 2.0mm stopper with ARP studs.
P&P head.
Cartech intercooler.
2.5" hardpipes.
Greddy Type S BOV
Garrett T4 60trim .70A/R divided turbine.
Ebay manifold.
Generic Wastegate with dumptube. 10psi spring.
3" turbo back exhaust with no muffler at the moment.
Lexus AFM.
MSD 8.5mm spark plug wires.
Autolite #3922 plugs.
550cc injectors.
Walbro fuel pump.
ACT 6puck clutch disc, pilot & throw-out bearings.
Nitto Extreme NT555R drag radials.

Good job man, your MPH/ET are much more in line with where they should be. Think there's any more grip for the launch now that your clutch is holding? Could probably squeeze a 12.99 out of her if so...

Running consistant 100-103mph shows that this is all the power my car has. I was running the 2.0 sixties dumping the clutch at around 4500-5000rpm. I'd get wheelspin off the line but my Nitto drag radials recover pretty quick. At least I don't bog and lose time. My first run for the night I let off the clutch quickly at about 4000rpm, and I bogged it. Ran a 2.1 60ft, 13.69@100mph.
I tried the slip method only to come out with a 2.4 sixty. I need alot more practice slipping the clutch. I'm thinking I can't hit a 1.8 or better cause I don't have the power for it. Am I wrong? Is the 60ft mark usually covered in 1st gear.
Oh, and i'm only picking up 19ish MPH from the 1/8th to the 1/4. That's not much at all.

Hmm, for comparison, I only had ONE pass down the strip, but I managed a 2.147 second 60' using a slip method. Launched about 5000-5500, slipped clutch, ran the 1/8th in 8.788 at 80.53. Picked up 23.36mph to cross the line at 103.89mph in 13.577 seconds. I still had plenty of traction, and this was on 275/40 Nitto NT05's. Power wise, you're not far behind me at all. If anything, I should have been a tad bit faster with the ET if I was a bit more aggressive with the launch. Another way to think about 60', it's basically 4 car lengths. First gear should get you through that unless you have really short gearing.

60' time has a bit to do with power, but at the power levels we're at, it's more about how hard you can launch, and how much traction you have available. Steven down in Arizona has pulled some impressive times with relatively stock cars, the kid knows how to drive quite well. 1.6 second 60' times ARE possible with slicks and relatively stock power. 1.8 should be doable with drag radials if warmed up enough. ;)

I was the car on the left. Mk4 kicked my ass in the second half...

Getting better man, getting better. What gears are you running again? I'm on the 3.73, which is NOT enough for only a 1/4 mile race in my case. I ran through the traps still in 3rd. :nono:

3.73's. I run through the traps in 4th. I tried to run it all the way in third, but I bounced off the rev limiter just before I crossed the line. I have to shift into 4th. I have a 7m, as you can wrap it out a little longer with your 1jz.

how much power are you guys putting down? the trap speeds seem a little low for the mods you have.
i went 14.1 @99 with my 90 targa. i think it had a bic ddp, 3" exhaust and 10lbs of boost at the time.

This is true, I almost forgot you're a 7m car. Stock redline of 7200ish and 275/40/17's give it everything it has in 3rd, but doesn't have the power to need 4th unfortunately.

320rwhp here, stock bottom end, intake, intercooler (JZA70 stock anyway, tiny bit bigger than stock 7m IC), 3" turbo back exhaust, stock twins, ~12psi. Ported head and BC264 cams as well.

A better driver or more track experience could probably net a solid 13.1-13.2 at ~104-105 I think. My car is REALLY choked out beyond 5k because of the head work. Speed in mine is 95% about the launch.
