Hello my name is J.B. and i have a 1987 supra turbo 7m 70000 miles. It had a bhg replace with a mhg, but it started leaking again so i tore it apart this time sent the head out for milling, put all back together with new gaskets from toyota head gasket too.The car runs but only to 2500 rpms then fuel or sparks shut off rpms drops then runs again pulsating has codes of 31--51. Ive been reading the trsm put having a problem deciphering so i need help please.

Can't be rpm fuel cut because 51 shows up and the cutoff fev is too high. Therefore it's likely the AFM itself or an open in the AFM wiring. Since the typical symptom for that is it'll fev to about 3K before cutting off I'd start there...

The fuel cut can be at higher fevs if the coolant is cold. I recall for a cold engine the numbers are 2300 on/2900 off dropping down to the more familiar 1200/1600 (1800GE) when fully warm. The difference is always 400 rpm (600 for GE). Still, unless the OP never lets the car warm up it is unlikely to be this.
