"If MA70 Supras were the Gundam Wings of our age, these guys would be the bad guys – especially when they’re rolling into the show hard like black x70 series brothers with similar style. I love it! We NEED to see more x70 Supras out on the streets that are as clean as these!"

Instead of typing "JZA70 and MA70" he wrote x70 to signify that he wants to see more 70 (either JZA70 or MA70) series body style Supras. Is this seriously that hard to figure out?

in that case, wouldn't it have been more appropriate to write xA70? they both have an "A" that precedes the 70 after all..

cars look super clean, especially the one with the CR-Kais.. I remember seeing that car a while back and I wasn't too keen on the rear fitment for some reason (maybe a combination of the pull and drop.. who knows), but in these pics it looks fantastic.

Ya its not that hard to figure out. Both are jz but more mk3's need to be like that as majority of mk3's rolling around look like crap.

Amar and sssc cars look clean as hell.

No, not hard at all.

But a simple "A70" would've sufficed... instead of the "x" is a variable which can stand for "MA" or "JZA" silliness.

I see a nice mk3, regardless of engine I would say "That's a clean A70."

Not "That's a clean x70." See?

From now on, they are to be referred to as Gundam Brothers!

well, there are already cars with "X" chassis codes.. so saying anything X70 is more like referring to an older Chaser, Mark II, or Cresta.

So maybe the writer of the Motormaven's article chose "X" because he is familiar with it, relative to other Toyotas.
