Hi,

Quick question. I am going to look at a car this weekend, have quite a few pics, carfax, etc. etc... It's decently far away, so if I go, I DONT want to come back empty handed. Only issue is, saturday is my only day off other than sunday and he has a lein on the car. Unless his bank is open on a saturday, what other options are in MY control to release the lein? Obviously by paying the difference to the bank the lein is paid off, but what else, if anything? Sorry but I've never bought a car before that didn't have the title in hand... Has anyone ever bought a car, then had the bank mail them the title, or is that a really wrong and stupid idea (bear with me, work's boring). Thanks!

deal with the bank only. They will have to process the title and sign off on it and give you a letter stating that it is paid in full.
