Reduced base circle ground cams.

Anyone had any experience with these cams and shimming them? I have stock 1jz cams that have had the base circle ground down giving my cams more lift and duration. Reason I'm asking is that I am going to shim them and I have a huge gap between the cam and shim that's there. Idk if they make a shim to take up that big of gap. Anyone know anything about this?

I did the same thing on my 1j. I got some shims from supertech to fit the top of the valve stems and used a stock shim on top of the bucket to make up the difference. Once the combination was close, I ground the lower shim to spec. Its a really long process to do 24 of them.
