Rear end humming

when i'm at about 3k rpm i can really here a hum in the back only when i'm on the throttle. what is causing this? is it a bearing in the axle? any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

Just joking. Mine rear whines like that. Never ever checked it out!!!

thats wat i think. also make sure u put the right oil in it- for lsd rears

well it leaks in two spots and i filled it with 90 weight gear oil so its not empty but so far its looking like the bearing by the driveshaft... at least from what i've been told. no when i back off the throttle or have it in neutral it doesn't hum.

For a high mileage LSD...Ford 75W-90. You'll have to add some Ford friction modifier.
