i cant post in the for sale section yet but i figured id try this really quick, i need a used 1jz/2jz bell housing for the R154, can anyone help me out ...

FYI: your looking for a 1jz manual bellhousing, 2jz's never came mated to the r154.

You can get the bellhousing from Champion Toyota in Texas. Contact Jeff Watson. People have gotton them in the past from him and Im pretty sure he can get you one too.

Yup the Getreg 6-speed V160 is the GTE model Transmission, in '95 or '96 Toyota couldn't get the permit to have it and they had a 5-speed in the GTE one of those two years

No they didn't.

They just didn't offer a manual transmission at all.

The 2JZ-GTE never had anything but the V160 for manual transmissions.

Sorry you're 100% correct, It was ( '96 ) and they only offered it in a automatic.

I must now correct myself, I should have said outside of Japan.

In Japan the V161 was used as well.
