I'm trying to buy a R154 with a 1J bell housing off of craigslist, somewhat locally. From the pics it looks like that is what it is. Can someone confirm this? Just wanted to get a second opinion before I drive a few hundred miles to pick it up. Thanks in advance

Yeah that is definately a puls, the bell housing looks like it is correct to to me as well (starter location, general shape, etc). Gotta love Toyota for not marking their transmissions.

only way i could tell is the length between the bottom starter bolt and the bellhousing bolt.. iirc the 1jz is shorter then the 7ms.. dont remember teh distances. I can check when i get hom though

Thanks,

No rush, I probably won't check it out (in person) until this weekend.

$650 is a good deal for tranny, flywheel, and clutch right?

denver - northglenn

i paid 250 for my trans but i bought the bellhousing for 260ish and flywheel for 260ish and my clutch was 80$ off ebay ;)

its not bad if its a 1jz one imo

Sorry to revive an old thread, does anyone know how long the R154 is? I'm hoping it will fit in the trunk of my 6.
