Seems to be covered well in the TRSM, but hoping someone may have a link to some write-ups I can follow along with (w/tips & tricks). Been searching, but haven't found any.
I followed the service manual step by step and everything went almost perfect. Your going to need a few pullers and a little creativity to make up your own SST's at certain points. But never ever go near any gears with a bearing separator. I tried to use one to grip behind the 5th gear to press it off and ended up chipping a few teeth. So if your going to use a press, which I highly suggest, make sure whatever surface your pushing against sits flat against the gear, not curved like a bearing separator.
