Apparently this is what happens when your transmission guy forgets to install the snap ring on the outside of the counter shaft bearing.

The center race of the bearing ejected into the bellhousing after about 3000 miles.

This is installed into my 1977 Celica GT along with a 7M-GTE

Thats a nice bearing inspection port. Be sure to thank him properly for that. :kickinthenuts:

Ouch..Before I read what you said I was actually thinking to myself "I don't remember there being a hole in my transmission right there"..hahah.

Hopefully he pays for the fix or new trans.

It's not a big deal, everyone makes mistakes. The guy practially rebuilt it for free ad he really knows his shit, but nobody's perfect. I just hope he will help me with getting a new bearing, I can take care of the rest as long as the sides of the gears are not chewed up
