question, kind of urgent...

Well I'm down at school, brought my car down here to get a few things. Temps are fine, ship shape, nothing out of the ordinary. Checked the overflow bottle... pretty damn low after I got back from driving it. Temps were fine and all, but here's my question... in a pinch, can I toss some straight bottled water in there? I hear all this distilled talk and whatnot, but I've used bottled water before at home when doing the 50/50 with the toyota coolant. I don't even know if I need any, but I'm just concerned, maybe paranoid.. .thanks.

Should be fine!

It's the minerals and crap in tap water that hurts cooling systems.

50/50 is rich anyway so you're not going to dilute it much.

Last jug of distilled water I got came from a shop that did Ironing supplies!

That's interesting - I buy mine from the drugstore, comes in the same 4L bottles that milk comes in. I use it to mix contact lens solution & for the engine.
