Wasup forum. Im installing a 2step launch control to build boost off the line next time at the drag strip but im having some questions.

So you guys that have 2steps with 5spds, are you guys still slipping the clutch when you leave off the line? or just sidestepping it?

I let mine out like im leaving a stop sign and it works fine. I wouldnt recommend side stepping it. You get a rough ingagement, its rough on the driving train, theres nothing good about it imo.

What are you using as a two step? Is it on a standalone or something else? Just curious. I don't have mine working yet with the Stinger, but if I did, I would still be slipping it.

personally i will be using a bee r rev limiter as a two step, I can still adjust the rpm it kicks in etc.

Im jsut curious to see and understand how ppl get their supras too hook now that there levaing the line in their power band with 100 or even 200+ more power of the line than when not using the two step

I didnt have a 2step on mine. It was just basic boltons full exaust, 57 trim turbo, running 10 psi minor fuel system, lightweight flywheel, act clutch. I was launching on a set of 225/35/17 BFG Gforce drag radials at 5500rpm on a street preped track lol :naughty:. My best pass was a 8.9 in the 1/8th with a 1.8 60ft

Isn't 8.9 in the 1\8th, like 14.0 in the 1\4mi. ??

The car fell off pretty bad on the top end. I never got it onto the 1/4 though so its hard to say. It just left really really well because I was able to launch at red line and hook the whole way.

there is no such thing as traction lol, at least i havent found it, im using a rush anti lag and have it set to engage at 4500rpm, i slip the clutch for about 6ft then let out

I have done a 1.71 60 ft. with no 2step. Why bother with no slicks on the car and less than 500 hp. anyway . I say you dont need it at this level plus its bad for your little Turbo anyway. I think what you want is a launch from a nice pair of SLICKS in the right size. 8-10in. wide maybe.
