Clint, you keep your car registered while working on it and having it down so long?

Can't do that up here in NY, all your build money would go to insurance.

I have collector car insurance and its only 40 a month so for me its no big deal. The car is insured up to 20k so it keeps good peace of mind for me in case something most unfortunate happens to the car wile its at the shop.

exhaust done yet? whens the pro efi stuff coming in? you planing on running the 128 or 48?

I haven't had a chance to get down their but last I saw from pictures the exhaust was done.

I talked to Wes last Wednesday or Thursday don't remember which but the pro efi was in the process of being flashed.

As far as I know I am running the 48 but it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I got the 128 lol...

well you better look into it because you will need more than just the flex fuel sensor to have it work on the 48

It is but you need the other sensor so the 48 can interpret the flex fuel reading.

Oooooo. That's how that flex fuel works. E-85 isn't here in NY so ehh, race gas for me.

It doesn't intercept, it just converts the 12v reading the flex fuel gives to a 5v reference. Where the 128 does it inboard I memory serves me right.

IMO if you gonna run e85 mind as well go 128 so you get knock control/knock view

albert you are right, 128's have it built in. also i agree with albert, if you plan on running e85 you should go 128. my biggest reason for saying that is becasue of it having full knock control...and we all know what knock does to a motor. even if the tune is solid there is still a chance of the motor knocking and you not knowing it...

IMO its worth spending the extra to have peace at mind...thats why i have allstate

Plus instead of running a LC-1 to the 48, or any other wideband. the 128 has 2 built into the ECU, so just have to run the sensor, and not any of the other bullshit. Plus having traction control.

the 1jzs, are practically identical to the 2jzs, and they are coming out with plug and play harness, because the jza70 has the same plug as some hondas, nsx

The 128 may have more features but I have no need for traction control or knock because the car is not a track car, I am not concerned with knock as I will be running more boost only when I run e85.

I am aware of the additional items I need to run the e85 sensor that's not news to me.

are you going to be running a knock gauge at all? it seams a little scary to me to be running 25+lbs of boost w/o any way of knowing if your knocking at all...
