I have an 89 turbo with a new rebuilt 7m engine. It has arp bolts thru out, a cometic head gasket, maft-pro set up for speed density, RC 550 injectors, waldbro fuel pump, and cold air intake. I was thinking of up grading the turbo to the precision sc61. Has anyone used this turbo? I'm just looking for some feedback. Thanks

I have a friend that used on a 2.2 liter honda motor. It spool real real nice, and it makes good power. Its comparable to the garrett 35r. I am thinking of using the same turbo on my 1jz, but you could get the Masterpower t61 for alot less.

Most T61's use a Garret GT35R compressor wheel in them. I measured my Precision T61 and it had a GT35R wheel in it. Anyways it is a great turbo, will spool quicker than anyother turbo capable of making 550+ HP. I get full boost 17-18 psi at about 3800 rpms on my 1jz, mind you I do have the DBB centersection......Buy it!!
