I went to the first Powercruise ever in the US this last weekend, which was the most fun I've ever had in my Supra, period.

Although its a work in progress, here's what I have made as far as movies go...

[strike]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOgzJNmnT5w[/strike] old movie...

New one!

Brainerd International Raceway in MN.

It will be happening next year again, I'll post up when the date gets set. This is something I would ship my car to just so I could do it again!

That looks like fun - what are the rules and setup? Does everyone just drive around as fast as they want and do roll races for shits and giggles?

Rules of Powercruise:
Car must pass tech (battery held down, brake lights work, tires have tread.
No Stopping
No Drifting
No Burnouts
Speed limit of 100mph (loosely enforced, I did 150 on the front straight)
BAC of 0.0
-that is all-

How long does it last? Like 20 min sessions or something?
How many cars on the track at one time?
How many cars went?
And what kind of number was the gt500 putting out?
Sorry for the question bombing steve lol.

Looks like a ton of fun.

Lol, no worries Kyle.
Each cruise session runs ~20-30 minutes bt when they end one, you can just hop back in line and get back on the track.
The most I saw at once (when on the track) was 10 cars, but 3.1 miles can hold a lot of cars- I'd guess 20-40 cars at once.
I think the final count of entrants was 100-150, I know of 3 that broke badly, and many others we fixed up and got running again.
GT500 is putting out xxx power (I'm waiting for a PM response from him.

Yes, it was fun fun fun! (I'm having PC withdrawls :( )

looks very fun, your car seems pretty strong, i have driven a GT500... you were staying with that car, impressive.

Were you the only E-85 car running there?

I don't know this for sure, but I would be surprised if he was the only one. E85 is incredibly common in modified cars in Minnesota - we do have the largest infrastructure of E85 in the country, and tuners make the most of it.

Oh yeah, lots and lots of corn burners running. IIRC, that maroon Camaro I ran was on corn, too.

I used 3 tanks of gas in 3 days, and I only raced the first half of the last day! WOOT well-spent money :D

Just got the PM from Brad- the GT500 owner. This is what he said about it:

It put down 562/549tq. on a very hot and humid day. not bad for exhaust, intake, pulley, and tune.

Pretty damn good race if you ask me!
