No before pictures, but imagine a 95k mile, mint condition stock bodied 89 hardtop.

Then, 90km/h + slush on the road + a light post followed by a drainage gully, and you get this:

ok. well i just took apart that enginw from post #1 and i got the piston. and i think i beat you guys. check out this piston.

this one i was showing that the rod is stuck like that and not able to sway like a normal piston.

and thats an indention in the piston. its about an 3/4 of an inch long.

Didn't that car end up in Calgary later on? I seem to remember that exact car sitting out behind RCTS for months.

I sold it to a local guy and as far as I know, it stayed around Edmonton.

A guy in Calgary did try scam it from me, and later threatened to sue me when I told him to piss off though...

The money shot. 2 bearings + 1 rod + a lot of heat = ALL ONE PIECE. Notice the color change on the rod. Shit must have been fuggin hot.

I still have that rod somewhere, its a conversation piece. Let this be a lesson to all you newbs out there, check your oil EVERYDAY.
