Hey guys finishing up my engine rebuild today (finally! it's been down since 4/15!), and going to try starting the engine tonight. From http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/techtip/headswap.html it says
"Before you start your car disconnect the CPS and Ignition system connector and crank it for 15 seconds to build up the oil pressure"
My question is where is the ignition system connector exactly?

I also read somewhere else when you first start your car your supposed to hold it at 1500 rpm for 5 or 10 minutes (forget which one)

If theres anything else you guys recommend to do when I first go to start my car, and after its started please let me know. Thanks,

so just pull the efi fuse and the cps then crank? Then after that i reconnect and hold at 1500 rpm for 5 minutes, then take for a test drive?

no, just pull the EFI fuse. dont crank it for more than 5 or 10 seconds at a time.crank it once, give it a rest for a few seconds, repeat. let the oil pressure gauge move up a little.

once you see that thing move then go ahead and start her up. check for leaks first, fixem if you gottem. after that let the car warm up then set the timing. after that you can do whatever break in method you want.

....well, didnt start, cranked it . Plugged efi fuse back in, reconnected the coil pack and it just cranked and didnt start. I then noticed i had a bad oil leak comming from what seemed to be the transmission, and a water leak next to the water pump where the power steering belt connects to the power steering. That was all enough for me to call it a night so going to be getting to work on it tommorow again to see where leaks are coming from and why it wont start...
