I have had porterfield slotted rotors with r4-s pads for 5 years with no problems. today, I had my rotors turned, and I went to put on new r4-s pads and they are too thick. All four pads look to be the same thickness, but I cant even get the caliper over the rotor with the outside pad in. I have double checked that the pads they sent me (AP-435) are for an 87 supra. I was not the person who installed the first set, so Im not sure if they had the same problem. I was going to take them to a shop tomorrow to have them sanded/grinded down to fit? I never have had a simple brake job cause me so much trouble. Anyone else have this issue with their setup?
