with the crank @ 0* piston 1 @ TDC, the 2 marks on your cam gears should match up with the marks on the rear gear cover.

Make sure it is at 10* at idle while in the diag box ports te1 and e1 are jumped with a paper clip these are the same ports you jump to check engine codes.

Now if the timing is off simply loosen the 12mm bolt that holds the CPS in place. Slightly turn the CPS back or forward until desired timing is reached, then tighten the 12mm bolt back down and take a second look and make sure the timing is where you want it to be.
