Picked up a new toy today

I bought this off a guy I know for 100 bucks

Now I was wondering what would be the safest source to wire the pos/neg into..that would be within reach behind the console. I don't have a tester so I'd need to be sure of which wire is hot and which is ground before I start at that.
Other than that it looks pretty straight forward to install, and I think I got a pretty good deal.

any power wire will be fine in there, shouldnt be too hard to find a ground within reach either

You don't have a tester, make one. One light bulb and 2 wires that's all. If you don't know how to make tester , don't even plan on hooking that thing or any electrical device on your car.
