Where can I find one of these? They are only available to buy when you purchase a wideband? 'cause i'm still on the stock o2 sensor and was wanting to use a PDA to log knock count, rpm, etc. I searched and found nothing

Edit:
I finally found something on sf that our ECU doesn't output any logging information to the diagnostic port. But that post was from 2003, has anything new been found out yet?

Nope, our ECU is locked down tighter than Fort Knox. The ECU data port and removable EPROM's are two of the few things I envy about DSM’s.

The nearest thing you can do is pull ECU codes via the check engine light if you jumper the E1 and TE1 terminals in the Diagnostic block. But that is about it.

Outside of that Toyota locked it down completely, going as far as to encrypt the data located on the internal ROM’s, They didn’t want anybody messing with it.

I have no knowledge in these things but I came across this,http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISS...Z6755QQitemZ4621603756QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW on another forum and this caught my attention:
for those of you who have swapped out engines and dont have the port hooked up it is only a 5 wire connection. 3 for the ecu 1 gound and 1 for a switched 12 volt source
original thread, http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=163925&page=1

then later in the thread
Just an additional FYI:
1. You can build a Consult connector box on your own. I have one, and absolutely love it.

2. There is freeware called Consultan that can be used to monitor all the signals that go through the Consult port. Available in both PC and Mac OS X versions. Has the ability to log sensors.

If you hit http://www.sr20forum.com and look in the Tech-Geek-ECU-ROM forum, all instructions for building your own box and links to Consultan are in there.

it doesnt have to do with obd since nissan, dsm and honda guys are doing it on the obd0 and obd1, so either our cars don't have these 3 magic outputs that trasfer engine data, or no one has found them yet.
