overboosting?

So after i had the Sp61gt rebuilt i had it reinstalled by the same mech that originally put it on but now my HKS EVC boost controller doesnt seem to do shit it doesnt control it at all any ideas or is my controller shot?
I will hit up to 16.8psi even if it is set to zero

Check and make sure the boost controller is connected correctly that's most likely your problem, what is the boost at strictly off the wastegate?

from what i remember, the sp61gt has a 12psi spring

should be a 14. you might need to port the leading edge of the wastegate port as well as the port size (mine had TONS of room to be opened up). mine crept to 16-17 easily depending on the gear (no BC).

I worked fine before the rebuild and i had the factory rebuild it. As for the boost it doesnt really creep, it will just go all the way up to 16.8 if I floor it hard. I am going to change the filters first because they are getting dirty looking and i will get back to you guys
