Personally, I wouldn't build a turbo engine without the oil squirters. The guys that do are running seriously high hp and probably aren't afraid to tear the engine down a couple times a season.
Keeping the pistons cool helps reduce hot spots that cause detonation. Either that or have the pistons thermal coated.

Ive searched the forums for the last half hour or so and there seems to be alot of debate about the necessity of oil squirters lol. Im thinking now I might see what it would cost to have them installed and maybe just tap the ge block I have for feed and return lines and use it. Its makin me kinda nervous about running either block the way it is now lol

the newer blocks have more ribs on the outside. is this a big deal? i have an older, and a newer block. i just want to know which one to go with.

It does but the it has the spots to drill out for both. Its in a different location on the ge. The gte has one on each side of where the sensor is on the ge
