so i found the thread that covers this topic but its closed so im starting a new thread to hopefully get my question answered.

i found this while looking at the links in the old thread and was wondering if anyone had experience with this brand or this item and if its any good. its the opens at the correct temperature and is reasonably priced. maybe a little too reasonably priced which is why i have my suspicions so any feed back will help

Cheaper cast part. Wouldn't be surprised if it broke when tightening.

IMO either go with the earls or better yet get the billet mocal one.

Billet for sure. If you are redding the whole system I think it's dumb not to make it as reliable as possible. After all, ten of those billet thermostats will cost less than a full engine rebuild if the cast part fails during a pull and leaves you with no oil to a running motor.

I've run the Mocal sandwich plate ones with the 180* oil therostate built in. Never had any issues with any of them. Even had one on my old SCCA ITS MR2 without an single issue. They run $84 at WWW.racerpartswholesale.com. this site has tons of race/performance products at great prices.
