Where is everyone putting the aftermarket oil temp sender on a 7mgte? Do I need to buy a special adapter or does a factory port exsist?

I am still running the stock oil filter housing. Where can I put the oil temp sender? Do I have to buy a remote filter kit? If so, what brand is the best and most reliable?

Depending on how big the Sender is you're using you could drill and tap the block off plate bolted to the block.

My mechanical gauge is tapped into the block off plate.

Canton parts here with a Mocal T-stat and a B&M Cooler.

The idea of a remote filter is to give you better access as well as the flow increase, so adding a sandwich adapter still makes changing the filter a PITA.
The turbo kind of blocks off easy access.

Yes the T-Start is if you run a full flow cooler instead of the stock bypass cooler.
