Stu: The GTE has a bunch of additional Oil leaks ummm I mean "features"

Squirters Turbo and the Joke.... I mean Oil Cooler ;)

The GTE pump is indeed different it has longer Gears so it moves more volume of oil per revolution then the NA pump to try and keep pace with the extra demands.

Roughly speaking everything is open at 40 psi and the pump has trouble keeping up on a worn motor, by installing shims it can make more pressure.

Rule of the thumb is 10 psi per 1000 rpm to this I add another 10 psi to be on the safe side.

Pimp: It's just the way you plumb it and the size of the fittings!

Full flow are usually 1/2" in and out and header tank design, bypass are usually smaller in/out and 1 tube like a trans cooler.

I use the B&M T Stat but permacool have the exact same unit much cheaper.
