oil filter thread

just wanted to confirm the thread for fitting an oil filter sandwhich to our cars is:

20mm x 1.5?

if not, please chime in and let me know.

(don't take that as gospel though that's for the NA filter not sure on a GTE never owned one)

Are you using the GTE filter head still or an NA stud?

unfortunately I dont have an NA stud. so at this stage I will have to just thread onto the GTE stud.

This is what you really want to do for a remote oil filter/cooler circuit upgrade:

The block thread is 20x1.5mm...the NA filter stud Ian speaks of is 20x1.5mm on the block side and 3/4x16 on the filter side. On the GTE filter head, it's 3/4x16 for the filter.

FYI - the NA stud is called a "union"...part #90404-20173

It get's rid of the pressure based Toyota Turd bolted to GTE's
