I too am in to find out the exact dates it will take place on. It'll be good to know if it'll interfere with my school schedule or not.

^^ Emilio, we might need to set up a caravan down, as long as everything works out with the supra's. Kelly also said he is interested in heading down and maybe we can get Dan & Sean also.

I'm going to try to make it this year, it all depends on if I'll be able to get off of work to do this.

A couple questions:

For the first meet/dinner, any idea of the city it'll be in?

For the second meet/lunch (I'm guessing), again, idea of city/restaurant?

If you need restaurant suggestions, I'd possibly be able to help out. I just need to know about how many people you expect to turn out (i.e. approx how many were present at chi2k8?)

Last year, Dave & Busters in Addison, IL...Not sure about this year just yet.

Last year, it was at the famous Brat Shop in Kenosha, WI.
Reason it's closer in the WI area is because right after,
We parade to Great Lakes Dragway that's in Union Grove, WI.
In 2006 (I believe...), We met at Chicago Pizza in a suburb of Chicago before going to Great Lakes....and had all sorts of late arrivals because it was such a long drive.

So...If I had to guess, being this far out still...
It'll likely be within a 30-45 minute driving distance to the drag way in Union Grove.

I too am Really looking foward to this event!

*If any of the caravaners from north of milwaukee want to meet somewhere around there to meet and regroup into a bigger caravan.
-We should try to workout some sort of track day at like Road America for example.
-Also Jeff do you what the rates were for GLD last year? If we got a discount or anything like that?

Thanks
Sam

Oh, Believe me...
All the Chicago organizers have had a Track Day in mind for YEARS now...
But as mentioned, It's very expensive.

That's really the biggest thing CHI2k_ is falling short of compared to SILV and Texas Nationals.

So...Believe me. We're doing everything we possibly can to make everything work,
And it's going to be one hell of an event, I assure you. :)
But priority number one right now is getting
everyone back on the same page since Nelson is gone.
:(

As updates become available, I'll post here...
But in the mean time, Try to start spreading the word now to your locals!

Since I've been a part of the Supra community,
"Getting it finished for Chicago" has been the most commonly heard thing
I hear amongst all us owners.
So, tell others! Make this a "due date" for your current project!
Or, in another sense, Keep your car running until then.........:biglaugh:

Chicago Annual meets are BIG, indeed. :)

They are and always have been a lot of fun.
Irregardless of being in a Supra or not, get your butt here! ;)

I've made it 2 different years before without being in my Supra.
The trip there sucks not being in *YOUR* Supra, but once you arrive,
Your mind is so overwhelmed with Supra's everywhere that you forget you're not in your car. :biglaugh:

I'm down. Looking forward to the meet this year. My car will be in Florida soon, but I'm willing to drive there to enjoy the meet and be with family in Chicago.
