Anyone know where to get an OEM Toyota Brake Fitting Kit? I've been to Toyota UK and they told me it's discontinued, but I'm happy to keep using the OEM callipers and as I'm rebuilding them completely (oddly the full seal kits are still available) I'd prefer to also put new spring clips etc in them.

Item 04491 here for the fronts: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291220/catalog.aspx?F=4705&P=1
Item 04492 here for the rears: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/EPC/291220/catalog.aspx?F=4707&P=1

I already have pads, I didn't realise these kits came with pads, but they weren't expensive and I can keep them as running replacements so I don't mind too much.

I can reuse the old ones but would really prefer new as I have no service history of when they were done last.

04491 and 04492 have been gone since the mid-90's when Toyota started selling the pieces of that complete kit (which includes pads, shims and fitting hardware) separately.

04465-14370 - Pad Set, Front Disc Brake
04945-24010 - Shim Kit, Front Brake Anti-Squeal
04947-14290 - Fitting Kit, Front Brake

04466-22110 - Pad Set, Rear Disc Brake
04946-22030 - Shim Kit, Rear Brake Anti-Squeal
04948-14080 - Fitting Kit, Rear Brake (Discontinued)

The rear brake fitting kit is discontinued, but the rest of the part numbers are still available, at least in North America. You can still get a couple of the springs, but not the main ones that clip onto the bracket.

47716-14140 - Plate, Rear Brake Spring Support (Qty: 4, Discontinued)
47748-14070 - Spring, Rear Brake Anti-Rattle (Qty: 4)
47771-22040 - Indicator Plate, Rear Brake Pad Wear (Qty: 4)

Thanks Jeff! :)

Toyota UK told me the individual parts weren't available, either the salesman was lazy and didn't bother checking or they're only available in the US. Either way it's time for a good old fashioned google using the numbers you supplied. :D

The rear plate spring supports I can try to clean up as best I can and re-use.

I may look into replacing the callipers for something better supported at a later date, but I don't particularly want to as they're decent callipers and stop the car just fine.

Blarg, Toyota UK are utterly useless. I revisited them and went over in detail exactly what I needed, they said they couldn't help at all and were unable to have stock sent over from the USA because the two branches never really talk to each other in any meaningful way.

I e-mailed Toyota USA as I couldn't find any direct links for parts departments. I doubt I'll get any results from them.

I've never had such a hard time just getting a normal service item.
