So my friend was talking about a celica all-trac last night, and i decided to look into them, and i found this thread!

http://www.alltrac.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=24542

its OEM shimless buckets! in theory, and the way toyota works, we should be able to use the same parts. im thinkin about ordering one from toyota and seeing if it fits, as im going to be doing my vavle stem seals pretty soon. and i need to shim everything.

but theres two advantages. Its less crap to go wrong, and its lighter! supposedly up to 35%... so across 24 valves vs there 16, it will be another nice imporvement, especially paired up with the BBC Inner Springs.

Only downfal is that its going to cost about $300 for our engines due to the fact we need 24....

Mine has been ok but each time I break something I usually have the valves reseated and adjusted so can't give an accurate answer Kai.

I bought mine back when I was revving the piss out of the engine.

Cost me about $600 for 24 of em Tanner.

Keep in mind folks..

that is AUD (Australian Dollars) and not USD (United States Dollar). Might be pricer state side as Japan's shipping here is quite high still.

Grimjack

I have heard of people spitting out the shim but not because of high RPM but because of high lift (anywhere north of 9.5mm). But that is hearsay from my end.

According to Toysport, the stock set-up is good for 7500 rpm.
I have personally had my NA through the lights at the local drag strip at 8000.
Stock springs & buckets,
rev limiter removed by the guy in Florida,
3.90 gears,
and not lifting to allow the trans to shift into 3rd.

Look at the cost this way.........
They are a hell of a lot cheaper than the $1200 TODA inner shim set !

Mine were ordered at my local dealership so there shouldn't be any shipping involved Figgie :)

I had read all the stories about spitting shims with either hi lift cams/and or high rpm and as I was doing both I figured they were cheap insurance and reduced the valve spring load being so light.

I know that! :p

The dealers tack on shipping as part of there selling price unless they give it at cost.
