Alright so every once and a while after I have been sitting in traffic not moving after I start again and go under boost this really odd noise can be heard. It sounds like a plane taking off and when I rev high in shifts the RPMs take a while to go back down. Then once I have gone through boost a few times the sound stays away again. When the car isn't at operating temp but is warm and under boost it never makes that noise. Only when it is at operating temp and only after sitting in traffic for a short amount of time but not every time I stop. Is this the sound of my turbo? Or is it something eles in the engine bay? Or am I just being paranoid and should think nothing of it?
The engine is a 1G-GTE for what it is worth... I also have a werid fan that I don't know what it does... At idle it doesn't move and it is located behind my intercooler but in front of my radiator.
