Well a friend of mine with an rx7 (not the 350 swapped one), will be selling his rims in a month or two... This picture doesn't really show how good they actually look in person, but they look brand new. And are a nice gunmetal metallic colour, and the lip is brightly polished. They are 17x7.5 5x114.3 +35mm offset with 245/40R17 tires.. I was wanting something a bit wider, but the price is definately right.

They are dirty in this picture, so I will get some better ones. But I can get them for $400 cad, w/ new rubber.... they are fairly lightweight aswell.

So what do you guy's think?

Not wide enough.. But they are nice wheels... especially for the color of your car.

Width of the tires really doesn't matter a whole lot, until your putting down a good chunk of power, its more for looks on a lot of cars

they look good though

Yup, they will be temporary untill I pull some cash together to get some 5zigen fno1r-c and some fat tires (17x8 front 17x9.5 rear 255/275 rubber)... The 245 tires should be okay for now, even look wise they will look better than 225's, untill I break 300rwhp, which I intend to do.. but considering these rims and tires are avail. to me for about the same price as a new set of tires for the stock rims I think i'm going to jump on it... They look amazing in person... he's got thim on his welded diff, gutted, drift rx7 that's completely dumped on what feels like no suspension at all, with huge negative camber.... and the car is primered lmao... man can he drift tho.

some nitto 245/45/17 drag radials will give you better traction then a 285/45/17 wide tire on a 10" wide rim. Wide tires are pretty much just for looks as far as traction goes.

The price it right I would grab them for that price ;) Or if you dont sell them to me I'll buy them :)

Too skinny for my likes (IMO), and I hate when Mk3 owners cheap out on wheels, save up and get the ones you want and fit your car well.

nah, thought that too the first time I saw it... Actually, they are stock rx7 rims! he throws them on when he drifts... he's got a massive stack of 16" tires at his place... very handy :)

I don't think the 245's will look that bad. Who knows I may keep them for a while.. I'll get some pictures of my car with them on soon to see what you guys think.

Just save for the FN's...those are just too skinny! Also the FN's, are either 17x9, 17x10...or 18x8.5, 18x9.5. The 17x9's and 10's, really push the limits of fenderwell clearance, (w/o rolling) so for fitment, the 18's actually work better.

Depends on the tire, and what kinda traction you're looking for...

car won't see snow.. And I should be able to sell these rims and tires when it comes time to get different rims...

But right now, a good friend of mine is having a set of fn's (black w/ polished lip) installed on his high hp FD... Sooo... I don't know if i'm going to be picking up the fn's anymore... I'll have to look around
