Just thought I'd drop in and say whats up.

My name is Jeff, live in Huntsville, Al, and work at a performance shop called Static X Motorsports. Been a die hard Nissan fan for the last 3 years, owning 6 or 7 240's in that time frame. Bought a 86 Cressida from a friend for 1100$ because it slammed over 4 inches, and looking really really nice. From then on I've been hooked Toyota.
Just recently picked up a 89 MKIII Targa for 500$ from a friend who I guess didn't know what he had. It is sadly a non turbo automatic, but it has a new tranny, a great running motor, and working heat, which is a lot better than the TT 300z I was driving. Car has 170,XXX miles on it. Two days after I bought the car, I picked up a set of axis 19's from a friend who had them on his 350z. I'll have to post up the width and offset once I pull em back off when I lower the car, but I have a 245 35 stretched on the front, and a 275 30 stretched on the rear, so close to a 9 or 9.5 front and 10 or 10.5 rear. Spent all day new years waxing, clay barring, and washing it, I'll get some pictures up from the day time here in a bit, but I'll post up some other pics here now.

Anyway, sorry for the winded introduction, just really excited about my car.

WOW, for 500 bucks you certainly got one hell of a deal man. I actually bought mine for 500 bucks as well. Are you planning on any mods or engine fun with this car?

Plans for the car:

Interior:
Currently, carpet and full rear interior stripped, but I have it, just need to clean it up, and reinstall it all.

Exterior:
Continue loading up the paint with wax/carnuba until I get all the oxidation out, and all the paint shining.

Suspension:
LOWER THE PIG :)
Working at a shop, we get the hookup on some really nice springs, in any rate/diameter, so I will be doing something custom here until I can afford some nice coilovers.

Motor:
Reinstall the power steering and AC, adding my FAL fans. Already has a cold air, and a straight pipe exhaust (catless) with an apexi muffler, installing a 4"X24" resonator to dial down the noise.

I have a ct26 7m manifold, a small bore (mr2) and big bore (mkIII) ct26, a FMU, and plenty of chargepipes, intercoolers, and BOVs lying around. May slap MK4 pump and AFPR in it, and run 4-7 lbs intil I can save up for a 1jz because thats the end goal.

Final go down the line is around 450 wheel with a Gt35r on a 1J with water/meth somewhere around 22-25psi.

That will put you closer to 525rwhp. Ask me how I know.

You should also go to the South East region and sign up. I'll find the thread for you.

Good to hear of another Supra nut in Alabama. This may be a dead lead, but I talked to a guy in Atlanta that was importing 1/2 cuts and 1JZ engines a while back and selling cheap. If he's still around, and legit, you could save a bundle on freight.
Name was Haroon Rashid hawaimport@hotmail.com. 404 723 7919. Some might think the name casts a little doubt, but its close enough to go for a look see. Let me know if you do.

Being that close, and not knowing anything about his company, I'd drive over to ATL and check them out instead of sending him money. It might be worth a trip though.

If we keep this up, Alabama will rival some of the bigger states. Welcome to SM!

I agree Scott, and unlike the other big states, we dont' have anything more exciting to do around here than go to a supra meet...........:evil2:

Awesome, good to hear from so many supra owners. I am a bit surprised on the power levels the 35R will attain on this car, last STI I tuned took 28psi with meth on a 35R to make around 500, and although I know the inline 6 is going to flow better than a flat 4, I didn't think it would be that much. Good to know though ;)

Again, thanks for all the compliments guys, really means alot to me. I love this car.
