hey guys, ive lurked for a while now and made an account about a month ago, and since i dont want too loose my account from not posting, im making an introduction thread.

ive had my car for over 5 years now. ive been working on it on and off. i got way in over my head and i dont think i would want to do this again, but i think the turn out is pretty damn good. some history on the car: i got it from my cousin/godfather for free. he was going to junk the car if i didnt take it. he was the second owner (making me the third). he got it in 1988 about a month before i was born. the car had 134k on it when it got it. ive been driving it primered for a little over a year now. (im a broke college kid, and i cant afford a paint job right now) its got about 137k on it now. ive got a stash of parts to install once it gets a little warmer out and a big list of things that still need to get done.

heres some pics of my progress:

i painted the engine bay, valve covers, and upper intake plenum when i swapped the motor over the summer due to low compression. looks much better now. ignore the ghetto battery tie downs, they work, and thats all that matters right now.

ignore the blue seats. my maroon ones were shot and these are just temporary until i can afford some black racing seats.

budget bass. the car had none, and needed some badly. i got everything for $100 and it serves it purpose. im in the process of building a new box that sits up against the back seat.

the mods are erebuni body kit, shaved side mouldings and header panel, ST lowering springs(soon to be coil overs in the front), kyb agx shocks/struts, intake with K&N filter, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust with hi-flow cat, hks clutch, lightened flywheel, front and rear addco sway bars, LJM strut tower bar and a tsc rear chasis brace. interior wise, i put a gt grant steering wheel to replace the huge stocker, leather shift boot and console lid, infinity reference speakers, pioneer head unit, 12" kicker comp vr sub, pioneer 800w amp, and a 1.0 farad cap.

anyways, let me know what you guys think!

Awesome facelift/makeover! :D

I can't wait to see what else you do with the car.

I really like the Erebuni body kit on the car.
With some nice wheels and glossy black paint,
It should look great. :)

Welcome to SM,
Jeff

lol...it took me ~5 years. it would have been less then that, but i guess i got bored with all work no play and started hookin up my daily's at the time. ive had 4 daily drivers in the time ive had my supra, so yea.

thanks for all the compliments guys. it really makes all the work worth it. recently, ive painted my stock wheels. ill get some new pics of that as soon as i get my coil overs on. also, i bought a set of wheels for it last summer. 16 x 7 appliance mesh. zero offset. i got them for $300 shipped off ebay.

i spray painted them, but im not happy with the way they came out, so im going to strip them again and have them powder coated.
