New DD/fun car

Well, the other day I was able to sell my Colorado, so as a replacement, I bought this from a friend!

Its a 1987 Mazda RX-7 GXL... Has about 137,000 miles on the chassis, 30K on the rebuilt motor, and came with a Racing Beat Header and Racing Beat Cat-Back Exhaust. The only downside is that it has been sitting since August 2006, so needless to say, I have ran into a few issues both before it was running, and even now that it is, lol! However, I only paid $1200 for it, so I still think I got a pretty good deal on it.

This should at least keep me happy until I can clear some debt and save up for another Mk III Supra, lol.:evil2:

much respect on that car, such a clean car and such a good deal! those non-turbo rotaries last as well, but yes mpg is terrible lol.

Thought I would post an update!

I've had the car for almost 5 months now, and in that time I have replaced the drift-damaged passenger front fender, swapped out the disconnected power steering rack with a manual one, aligned it, installed a pair of KYB adjustable struts up front, collected various trim pieces, brought the paint back, installed stainless steel brake lines, fixed the huge exhaust leak under the passenger seat, and most of all have repaired countless vacuum leaks... I can now say that is is one of the most entertaining cars I have ever owned, and I absolutely love it! Tonight I decided to clean it, partially to try to cool down a bit (currently 89 degrees at 9:30 pm, was 100+ easily today), and also because it was covered in oil and grease from my weekend of repairs, lol. While I was at it I decided to wax it, too. So here are some pictures, enjoy!
