need to clarify... stock voltmeter replacment

Hey

So I searched the forum and didnt come up with much. I have a turbo supra and would like to swap the voltmeter from an N/A into my car. As for wiring, the only thing I have to do is wire up the voltmeter with a power and a ground? Also where does the power come from, the battery, or some other 12v power source on the car?
