need some engine bay picsfrom an 89ish to see what Im missing.

I recently bought an 89 turbo targa originally an auto its getting the r154 though.

But on to the need. It looks as if its missing some components in the engine bay area and wondered if anyone can get me some pics of around the shock tower areas maybe close ups to compare with. All i have is an 87 turbo to check against and i know the wiring and such changed for the 89.

Yep, that is the German style. I purchased the car from Germany in 1996 and it was my DD for three years. Now the car is waiting to be restored and getting it to museum plates. Only non original parts are the big horns.

Heres my Engine bay pics sorry for the late reply. Had to go get my friend to get them as the car is at his shop.
So not sure if anything is missing. But The car does not have TEMS nor ABS so I know those are not there.

A big question is what are those 3 cut wires?

Those wires look like the ones that go to the alternator IG L S terminals..

I just checked my car ('91 turbo) and those three wires are indeed supposed to plug in the back of the alternator. Same colors.
Anything else?

Your missing the radiator fan shroud, I purchased one brand new from Toyota 18 months ago and there were only 21 left in the entire US/Canadian supply. I paid $112 for it, I did find a shroud at the salvage yard which was on a 89 non-turbo, I cleaned it up and sold it on ebay for $85. Do you have the AC Condenser fans, it should be on the left side of the radiator right next to the battery. I agree with one of the other posters, dump the horns, they look gay.
