need pics of p/s pump on the motor(1jz)

my 1jz never came with power steering pump and i'm getting ready to put it back in. i think i have most of the parts and a guy sent me a 2jz pump with bracket...

i was going to buy a used1jz bracket from a member here till he showed me a picture and i realized that the 2 brackets look almost identical. so i need a close up pic of the pump on the motor. plust this way i can just go to the parts store and order a audi tt 2.4 2001 belt. done deal..no guess. thanks in advance.

hopefully this is good enough, its the same as in a 1jz. i am not running the ac so you wont see that. it is right below the intake manifold.

oh i see. i think i'm missing that black long bracket, but it should be a easy mod to make. plus i think i could just pivot the pump up a little more. thanks.

thats actually a 2jz but the both use the same ps pump, and are setup the same way

just be prepared that you might have to have the pulley shaft on your 2j pump machined...I had to have that done when I swapped mine so that all the pulleys lined up.

then something is probably wrong with how its hooked up, it should line right up w/o problem, ill try to get a better pic and put it up for you later on today

yeah..i think it looks pretty equal on my engine. it just pivots up and down though...nothing really holds it down. right now its squeeling like a mofo cuz i dont have the idler pully also..i just got a random belt from the auto store and pivot the pump upwards...but it only work so well.

there is also a metal bar that goes from the side of that bracket back to the block to brace it in place
