Is it important to follow the order in the tsrm and if I just open it in any order can I mess it up?

if your head only had .001 of a dip thats AWESOME. even after i un-torqued the one at the junkyard according to the prodecure, it was .010 off in the middle i think...

im guessing that head was never over-heated then?

yeah, the head was off my old rodknock motor. it was actually less than 001. i couldn't really fit it in. it looked like it had just been to the machine shop by the conditon of the deck and head itself. so i'm positive a head can be remove without warping it. you need a good breaker bar so you have total control without poping them too loose.
