Im considering swapping the rear out of an N/A. Im pretty sure i need the sport package to get the lsd 4.30 pumpkin. The pumpkin is a straight swap, correct? Also I dont know how the supra's speedo works but i would imagine like most domestics it will kick the speedo way off at highway cruising. Any advice on this swap would be helpful thanks!

LSD was part of the sport package, or available by itself. It's a direct bolt in, but yes your speedometer will read incorrectly, can be fixed by changing the speedo drive gear with one from an N/A.

all A70 pumpkins are compatible w/all A70 chassis.
speedo is driven by a gear in the trans, change the gear to the proper one for your diff ratio.

Two questions from the noob.
What kind of speedo error will this provide and is the differance going to be noticed with the "seat of the pants" dyno?

going from 391 to 430 is definitely a noticable difference, will accelerate harder, but at the cost of top speed. And just take the drive gear out of the car you get the diff out of. Or any other 430 car, for that matter.

not sure about top speeds and 1/4 mile speeds, because you could still do a 30 sec quarter in a geo, even with 430 gears. It should improve your time (with a healthy car) by at least a half a second
I am hoping somebody sees this and can tell me the RPM diff I'll see at 60 MPH. I see a half second off the quarter a good improvement. My car is a little more that healthy...
