Need 12v constant...

skim1040

work in progress
I'm in the process of hardwiring in my turbo timer. Yes, thats right, no harness...call me a cheap ass whatever...lol More just impatient.

But, apparently I didn't tap into a Constant 12v, because when I take the key out the timer shuts off...lol

So, where on the ignition bundle of wires, is there a 12v constant?
If you could give wire color/location i will love you long time!

thanks in advance!

There are a few options. If it need to be a high current line I believe the one you want it white with a red stripe. I don't have my pre89 TEWD (with my notes from my alarm install with me), so test it before cutting anything.

You may want to add a fuse as well. If you're not looking for a high current line there are a few other places you can look. The Hazard switch harness and Clock harness are the first two that come to mind.

If the TEWD is accurate that is a 12v constant. Like I said, test it first. If it's the line I'm thinking of it's a thick little beast that runs up to the ignition switch along side of the steering column.
