badass looking. hows it run?

Like a 3 legged cheetah, fast but all fucked up.

I blew the head gasket on it avoiding an accident with a bimmer
(tip: downshifting and kicking out the rear at 40+mph looks cool, but costs too much) so now I'm in the process of replacing them, but have too much on my plate to give it the honest hours it needs.

Shame, my buddy's got an all original 87 Aero SS, neat looking cars, but a little anemic in the power department. Suppose that's why everyone rocks regal's in terms of fast, stock engined g-bodies.

L69 HO 305ci V8.
* 180 HP @ 4800 RPM (flywheel)
* 225 ft/lbs @ 3200 RPM
really pathetic for a muscle car

When that one blew I installed a 350 with a few goodies to make it a bit more fun.

Yup, had one of those too, and yup, 350 shortblock FTW. The 305 is the most handicapped POS I ever rode in, the damn car should've came 350 from the factory. A 350 c.i.d. 360HP engine, improved TH350c transmission, Hedman hedders with Flowmaster 40" series mufflers, 3.90:1 posi rear end, Edelbrock Carb (650cfm) and RPM intake go a long way to bringing a smile to a face, or a tear if you have to sell it afterwards... :wtc:

you a man after my own heart
before the hg went- i sat very close to that, cept i had a 3.73, no flow masters, and hooker long tubes, that and a little cam

i instantly regret selling the car, i honestly tried to talk the guy out of buying it- he laughed and said he will send me pictures when hes done.

on a side note, i actually like the 305 on paper ( bore + stroke wise ), and have seen it do amazing things.. the factory setup is just a dead dog though
one of the main reasons that the 305 was a great starter motor for me was that almost everything I did to my 305 would just bolt right onto a 350, giving you that much more for your money.

side side note: i kept my worked 350 stored from when i decided to make the car streetable, perhaps this winter ill find a shell and give that motor a new home
