well last weekend i blew the head gasket in my 89 toyota 4x4, so i sold it on craigslist in a day and then found this at at a local stealership:

its a 1984, 22r, 91k original miles, solid front axle, 5spd, 89-95 bed, 31" cooper s/t tires. it runs and drives better than all 3 89+ trucks i had. its got a few problems to work out and it needs a radio but other than that its ready to go 300k + miles.:evil2:

yeah theres some rust on the underside of the hood, and under the paint on the hood and the A pillar. but all in all its not bad for an 84, i plan on getting all that taken care of.

edit: i just remember that is an "other cars section" sorry about that mods, pls move if necessary.

Nice, and you've already got a solid front axle. :) You're well on your way.

What are the plans? Is it a 22re? auto or 5sp? Are those 31x10.5's? Looks it.

Any plans for lockers/gears/tires in the future?

Am I getting too far ahead of you? LOL.

I've got a '94, and love it!

yeah its a 22r 5spd manual. i'm gonna lift it and do gears and lockers and all that eventually. i put a head unit in it today, i'm going be to putting a system in it, and getting bumpers and a winch in the near future.
i had a 94 for my first truck, it was stock with 31/10.5s and it never got stuck.

Awesome. :) Lift/gears/lockers is in my future, too, but for now, the 31x10.5 BFG MT's will do it for me. ;)

Check out www.marlincrawler.com for a rear bumper, and the ARB bull bar for the front is just amazing. (I have yet to buy the ARB, but it's SICK)

I've buried mine to the axles, and still got out. Great little trucks, these Toyotas!

We need more pics of yours!

Not when you have a tiny four banger and no gears to push bigger tires. ;)

Ah, that's why I always wheel with a support vehicle- and only one goes into the sticky situations at a time!

I hope you have extended front and rear differential breathers, otherwise it's time to change the gear oil in your diffs!

I was planning to get the MC front bumper with the stinger, but I think I like the ARB better, because if you hit something with it, whatever you hit will die. The MC front bumper doesn't have as many attachment points to the frame, if I remember correctly.

I LOVE my MC rear bumper, though. It's awesome. :)

Edit: If you haven't already, check out www.yotatech.com - it's a great site, and much more friendly than pirate4x4.
