well, ive been on the dyno Countless times. between my ex's 1jz car, several other mk3's with my friends, tuning mkiv's and such... this is the first time ive ever put something that I own on the rollers. ive been curious to see how healthy my car was with all the non-stock stuff i have yet still rocking a 100% stock CT26, which ultimately determines final hp levels. for my supporting mods, i have:

3.5" hard pipe intake
Lexus AFM
No ISC or bov
4 liter surge tank FFI
65mm pre89 throttle body
ported UIM runners
ported LIM runners
Ported head
9.5:1 compression, ebay pistons and rings
2.0 cometic
ARP everything's
Defcon down pipe
3" mid pipe
3" dual side-exits
Walbro 341GSS, STOCK wiring and relay/resistor
-6 Feedline from stock hardline (no banjo's or FPD)
CSI eliminated
-6 Return to FPR
Aermotive FPR set to 52psi static
STOCK 440's
1JZ fmic
Soft hot-pipe
Hard cold pipe

Key notes:
NO boost controller, leaking turbine gasket, bottom end knock (probalby main bearings), no fuel pump rewire and i suspect too much timing advance for 9.5CR.

my friend has a video of the car on the dyno. i should be able to get it from him when he gets off work tonight. take a look at my sheet

what was the boost level?

it sure does looked jagged, esp for smoothing level 5. timing does seem to be an issue. id bet with some higher octane it would do better.

congrats on the numbers so far. and any day you drive home from the dyno is a good day!

interesting power curve. you've got some work ahead of you to make it running 100%. GL. Should make some good numbers when everything is right.

My first thought was.. Must be a mustang dyno... HaHa JK..
Pretty decent overall on a stock CT..

BTW.. I blew that 60trim Turbo on the way to work on Monday. (after Tampa)
Jon@MDC has it now..

9;5;1, 93 oct, 440cc, stock ct, with a lex is looking for trouble in the detonation dept. The ecu is probly pulling timing keeping the numbers down

Chris: WTF is this?

Thought you had some big arse killer combo with a T88? <confused>

yep. he brought out the rotary tool and decided to make the world's largest ct-upgrade. the CT26-88. the secret is out. next test is to see how it handles 40psi.

hey dave, thanks. i dunno what the boost is. the most ive seen on a stock CT w/o boost control on a full exhaust is like 12-14psi range. unfortunately, i dont have a boost gauge hooked up. either the fuel in my tank was just old and skunky, or i was getting too much timing after i reset my ECU. i really wanted to throw some C16 in there but my friend showed up and bought the last of it before i got there. :( it really looked like the curve was gonna go up another 10-15hp and tq till the stock ECU rained on my parade. lol

justin, which part was odd? the numbers or the curve or that its still a stock CT... or all? :biglaugh:

matt, that sucks your turbo let go. it definitly had more potential in it. hopefully this next rebuild lasts longer.

quake, i completely agree with you. the curve certainly suggests that. i also tried tuning it out w/ the AFC... but despite how rich it was, it STILL knocked. i think it just flat-out needs more octane to pull it of w/ full timing advance on the stock ECU.

IJ, dave is right ;) i pulled the 76mm T88-38GK wheel out of my super-rare turbo and shoved it in the CT. i had to completely cut out the inlet of the cover and weld on a 3.5" inlet. lol i just wanted to see what all the stuff on the motor would do for the stock CT. plus, im afraid of putting the T88 on this motor. i think this motor could blow on pump-gas boost alone, forget about 36psi! they are stock pistons w/ cryo treatment.

so dave, whos that person you knew that put down 364rwhp on a stock CT? i think it was you who mentioned it a while back...

the curve.. boost fluctuation? i guess it could be knocking, but seems like the drop off would be much more defined i would think (as timing is dropped)

very lean down low too?

shouldnt be the boost falling off. if it was, i dont think it would come back just before redline. im really looking hard at knock, possibly severe knock and the timing was pulled almost clear down to 10*.

and it really did look lean down low. my idle AFR's according to the dyno WB said 18:1. i dont know how accurate it was. i have pre-turbo exhaust leaks and a leak at my DP gasket. i think it was pulling fresh air in. the last time i saw pre-turbo exhaust leaks, the AFR's were all messed up too. id really like to get a WB in the car but i have to fix that leak first. oh, and go thru my bottom end and sort out that noise.
