The 04-06 4.7L tundra v8 is said to be a direct bolt up for the 2jz but the plug is different....it is a 130amp unit with a segmented regulator. You have to upgrade the alt fuse when using a higher amp unit.

yea but for that money, you may as well buy the Driftmotion 200Amp alternator right? unless you were planning on going to a junk yard and pulling one. 200 amp really needed? What's stock?

Cosmo do good work chris. I will let him do my bumper also. As for the alternator....i will get a used one from ebay....they go for like $60.00. The aristo alternator is a 100amp unit...which i don't think is enough to power all that i have. I prefer a used oem unit. Either way the car is coming out pretty good!

He does good body work but he wanted to put my front lip and my spoiler on with double-sided tape. :nono: I don't think they kept track of which bolt/screw goes where. They were using some torx head screw on the turn signal lights. Everything seems to be good. I'm happy with the look of the car once its clean. Its very dusty in their shop from all the other bodywork/sanding going on.

Has anyone heard about reviews for the 200Amp Driftmotion alternator for the jz's?

Thanks old guy for hitting me!
