how much did that jdm place charge you?

The thing is, I had two swaps done there. I took the 7mge out of my red one and put it in my maroon one. Then I had the 1jz put in the red supra. All together for both swaps the charged me around 2600. Plus I got a free exhaust and a shift knob too.

So last week I go to start my car, I checked to see if its in neutral as usual. Start the car and let go of the clutch. The car jumps as if it were in gear. I messed around with the shifter and started it again. Same thing happened. Not sure what was wrong. Didn't seem like a clutch problem. So I just left it there and took the train to work that day. Friday I started my transmission swap. I took out the center console panel and then took the short throw shifter off. It turned out that my shifter housing was completely loose. I mean completely loose. I could shake the whole shifter housing around. Thats probably why I couldn't get out of gear. Anyways so i keep going. Jacked the car up and went to drain the oil out of the transmission and Less than a quart of oil came out of the transmission. I was like WTF!! So we got the transmisison out, take apart the hub on the pressure plate. I fucking hate snap rings!! Yesterday I took off the flywheel and drained the oil from the engine. Today I'm going to replace the rear main seal and put everything back together. Pics will come soon.

So I shimmed my wastegate until i get a electronic boost controller. WOW!! Its fun. I was on the roosevelt blvd (US 1) My friend and I were driving back from his brothers house. He just bought a '02 Mazda Speed Protege. So we're just driving back and this civic hatchback zooms up behind him in the left lane. I'm in the right lane and a impala was in the middle lane. The kid in the civic kept revving his engine. I was getting annoyed with the civic so I told my friend over the phone not to block him. So we stayed with the impala. The civic kept switching lanes to get in front of us. It wasn't going to happen. The next light he was behind me in the right lane. This time the civic started hi beaming me. So I revved my engine and took of at the light. 1st gear my friend was still with me. The civic was still behind me. 2nd gear i started to pull away. The civic finally gets passed the impala. My friend is on still on my bumper but in the left lane. I slammed it into 3rd gear and I took off. By 4th gear, the civic was a good three car lengths behind me. The next light was red so i started to slow down and he pulled up to me. It was a lil teeny bopper with his girlfriend. He kept revving his engine right next to me, thats when I heard the BOV and I laughed and thought I guess I showed him not to mess with a supra. Then I took my exit. :biglaugh:

So Wednesday was my birthday. My dad asked me what I want for my birthday. I didn't even think. I respond, I need tires!! I have no traction! Especially in the rain. So he said ok. I look around and then I thought, I can do better. So I got a deal from a store. I got some Works wheels 17x9 and tires. 245/45r17 in the back and 225/50r17 in the front. Traction much better now!! :evil5:

Yesterday I crossed out two things of my list of things to fix that JDM screwed up. I found out why my blower fan wasn't working. I also finally hooked up my windshield washer pump for the front and the back. The reason why my blower fan wasn't working is because half of my body harness is missing. While I was fixing my body harness I found that there are three big connectors that aren't plugged into anything in the passenger side fender. I looked up the wiring diagrams for my car. It turns out that 3 pin connector with two 10ga blue wires and one 10ga white wire gives power to my blower fan and to the ABS. Does anyone know what the other two connectors are? One is a 6pin and one is a 4 pin connector. These two connectors are i'm guessing about 14-18ga wires. Any ideas? I'm still in the midst of looking it up. So I got my windshield washers hooked up and I have heat now. I was so happy this morning cause it was cold and windy outside.

Good to see the transmission rebuild. Mine is all apart and I need to reassemble it. I need to place an order with marlincrawler, but I was holding off because I wasn't sure I could do it at home.

Thanks. Yea Its a pain in the butt. If you have the TSRM aka "The Bible", its pretty easy. Just wait till you have toput snap rings back on:aigo: Good Luck with your transmission rebuild!!
