Here is my 88 supra turbo
the car has been in the family for about 15 years
the car has 249k miles and the previous owner drove it for 3 years with a broken speedo cable so i am guessing around 310k miles
the cars only mechanical problem is a boost leak

the bumpers have faded purple from being in the sun for 22 years

the car has a lot of rust

i removed the interior and saw how much rust there really was

Plans for the next few weeks
- just bought a parts car and i will use that car to replace doors and quarter panels with some rust free doors and quarter panels
- fix a power sterring leak
- fix the boost leak
- sand it down
- eventually get it painted

I'm have the same 88' and I still prefer the 89' taillights and rear assembly to the 88'. What engine mods are you going to do?

nothing was really done today, just i looked at the damage to see what can be saved

more picures of the damage

the gauge cluster seems to be in good shape and in my opinion looks better than the 86.5-88

tomorrow the guy from the body shop is coming to remove the quarter panels and the doors from the white car

Looks like a good start, my first mk3 was a burgandy 87 with a blown motor, bought a white '88 with a 7mgte and a rusted out body and swapped it out. Sadly was a automatic so I always wanted to do a swap but it was cheaper for me to sell it and look for something else.
