Here are some pics of my mk3.Originally white w/dark blue int.Tore into the car at 170,000 miles(bhg,of course)Always wanted it to be black so a paintjob was in order while the motor was out.Started by shaving the moulding off of the doors/fenders/quarters,left the trim that seperates the bumpers from the car though.also flush mounted the door handles.Ended up finding a tiny bit of rust under the rear bumper and that's where I went overboard.I stripped the car to a bare shell and am working from the ground-up.Stripped all of the undercoating off of the bottom and painted/cleared all of that also. The subframes were stripped, powdercoated black, then painted and cleared metallic blue.the a-arms are fully polished, new bearings & ball joints, energy suspension bushings.Have a set of TRD shocks and springs that I bought awhile ago that I'm told don't exist anymore(they're made by KYB,and retain the TEMS)and the spring rate is for an na car.Powerstop drilled rotors,K&N fipk w/homemade cold air box, polished stainless header,MSD plug wires/blaster coil, all new coolant hoses, silicone vacum lines, supertrapp muffler, high flow cat, custom exhaust.will post more pics as it progresses, hopefully back on the road in the spring,(been apart for over 2years)

Looks like you take it to the extreme

Yeah, can't help myself. It's my baby though,so it's worth it to me.It helps keep costs down doing ALL of the work myself, and painting a '68 camaro for a guy that works at the local engine shop(lets me use the equipment there)Wasn't originally planning on going this far with it,but once I spent the time to strip the whole car to bare metal, figured might as well do it right. That and when it's done I don't want to have to take it back apart for anything other than routine maintenance.Plan on keeping it na,and all stock body other than the door handles ,the door/fender trim, and a little mod to the rear wing(stock 87 wing, but has a 60 led brakelight grafted in and the pedestals cut down about 1/2 inch)Never had a turbo car, want to try na>t swap in my cressida first,I will find a stock turbo car if I decide to go turbo in a supra
my na ran mid 14's anyways,so it's not too slow
and your right,it is a Lifestyle
